WHAT IS A BRIDAL SESSION?


A bridal session is a special one-on-one session with just me and the bride that is all about her! This session is meant to document in every way possible the bride and her gown and details, and many brides order a canvas along with this session to display at their reception. You absolutely do not have to have a bridal session, but if you’re looking for a way to make your experience just a bit more special, this is a perfect way to extend the celebration.




CAN WE TRAVEL FOR MY BRIDAL SESSION?


Absolutely!! I LOVE to travel and explore new locations, so if you have an idea for a location outside of the area, let’s do it! 60 miles of complimentary round tip travel come with your session’s investment, and additional travel above 60 miles will be billed at .52$ a mile.




HOW LONG WILL IT BE BEFORE MY BRIDAL PHOTOS ARE READY FOR US TO SEE?


All sessions will be finalized and edited within 3 weeks or less from your session’s date.




WHEN SHOULD I SCHEDULE MY BRIDAL SESSION?


You will need to schedule your bridal 8 weeks and no later than weeks before your wedding date to ensure your images are ready and you can have a canvas or prints done in time!




WILL MY DRESS GET DIRTY DURING MY BRIDAL SESSION?


I sure hope not, but for my part I do everything I can to help you to not get your dress dirty during your bridal session, but I encourage you to schedule your last cleaning and steaming of your gown to be after your bridal session just in case.




DO I NEED PROFESSIONAL HAIR AND MAKEUP FOR THE BRIDAL SESSION?


Yes, you do! I encourage you to have the same vendors working on your day help you with your bridal portraits so you and them can have a trial run before your wedding.




DO I NEED A BOUQUET FOR MY BRIDAL PORTRAITS?


Yes, you will need one! Though I can take your bridal portraits without any florals, there’s nothing like a gorgeous bouquet to complete your bridal look for these forever photos.




CAN I BRING SOMEONE WITH ME FOR MY SESSION?


Oh, honey, YES!! I recommend bringing at least one woman you want to celebrate with! Great ideas for this would be your mom or your Maid of Honor.





 
 

Engagement FAQ's

HOW LONG DOES AN ENGAGEMENT SESSION LAST?


Your engagement session will last 1 to 1.5 hours on the location or locations of your choice. But, not to worry, if you and your fiancé are ROCKING it and want to keep shooting or if I have not captured everything I want to capture for you, the session will last as long as we need it to...as long as you are game to keep going!

WE WANT TO USE OUR ENGAGEMENT PHOTOS IN OUR SAVE THE DATES! WHEN DO WE NEED TO SCHEDULE TO BE ABLE TO DO SO?


You will need to schedule your engagement session at least 6 weeks before you wish to order your Save the Dates for your images to be ready in time.




WHY DO WE HAVE TO FILL OUT QUESTIONNAIRES REPEATING WHAT WE’VE ALREADY TALKED TO YOU ABOUT?


Funny you should ask, actually! I love to get to know each of my couples personally, but sometimes, with 25+ couples, the details get a little jumbled. I love to have these personal details about you and your love story written down so I can go back and reference them before your sessions and wedding day.




DO WE NEED PROFESSIONAL HAIR AND MAKEUP FOR THE ENGAGEMENT SESSION?


It's certainly not a must or requirement but something I highly recommend! It may seem a little excessive at first, but making sure you look and feel as beautiful as possible is super important for your images! When you feel pampered and extra-confident after getting your makeup professionally done, it will show in your images and make you look just that much better. Also, you only get engaged once, right? Why not make the experience a little better and truly embrace celebrating this important time in your life? Trust me, you won’t regret it!




CAN WE BRING ALONG OUR DOG OR PROPS?


Absolutely! The more you have to work with to make your images more personal, the better. Just be sure to mention all of your plans to me to make sure we’re both on the same page.




WHAT IF IT RAINS ON OUR SCHEDULED DAY?


If the forecast calls for rain consistently before your scheduled date, I will keep and eye on the latest forecast and get in contact with you about 48 hours before your session date, to reschedule if I feel like it will be necessary to do so. Engagement sessions are the one thing we can move without too much hassle throughout this experience.




WHAT IF WE HAVE SOME SUPER SPECIFIC CREATIVE REQUESTS OR A PINTEREST PAGE OF POSES WE WANT FOR OUR ENGAGEMENT SESSION?

Wedding Day FAQ's

HOW MUCH TIME DOES USUALLY TAKE FOR PHOTOS AFTER THE CEREMONY?


Usually family formal portraits, full wedding party portraits, and the couples portraits will take exactly an hour to complete after the ceremony if none of those images were scheduled and taken ahead of time.




WHAT IS A FIRST LOOK, EXACTLY?


Ah, one of my favorite questions! A First Look is when the couple opts to see each other before the ceremony for a variety of reasons. The main reason is so the couple can enjoy their reveal moment to each other in an intimate and personal way, instead of that moment happening in front of hundreds of family and friends. A First Look before the ceremony also allows me to capture all of your portraits as a couple and full wedding party together, thus eliminating the need for those shots AND family shots after the ceremony. This will also aide in getting you to the reception faster!




HOW MANY FAMILY SHOT REQUESTS CAN I SEND YOU?


You’re welcome to send as many requests as you have when that question comes up in your questionnaire set, but remember, the more you request, the longer it will be between your ceremony and reception entrance and the more of your booked hours you are using.




SO, SHOULD WE HAVE A FIRST LOOK?


Okay, so get this. First Look equals getting to the party faster. Not only will you receive more photos of you two together as a couple, but you’ll also get all of that craziness out of the way before the ceremony so you can get right to the reception. 5 Reasons To Do a First Look is in the Fives section of the wedding page (in a slide about half way down the page)




CAN WE TRAVEL FROM LOCATION TO LOCATION DURING OUR WEDDING DAY?


Yes, you’re absolutely welcome to have different locations for getting ready, the ceremony, and the reception, but we recommend staying in one place for your day. IF we need to travel between locations, the travel time will count towards your continuous wedding day coverage.




WILL YOU EAT AT THE WEDDING?


Yes, I am human so I do need to eat and hydrate to keep going. Aside from catching a quick 10 or so minute breather & water/snack break every now and then, my assistant and I will find a spot to grab a bite to eat during the reception, but only after all of the main reception activities are over and before the grand exit. Don’t worry, grabbing a few bites of your food will not make me miss anything!




WHAT IF IT RAINS ON MY WEDDING DAY?


If it rains on your wedding day, do not fret! Many rainy wedding days have survived, and the I am ready to handle these adjustments. I will be in contact with you the days leading up to the wedding to help you plan and adjust to with the weather but please know that bad weather can have an impact the quality of your images but that is out of my control.




HOW LONG WILL IT BE AFTER MY WEDDING DAY UNTIL I SEE MY IMAGES?


You will receive a teaser of a handful of select images soon after your wedding. Your full collection of wedding day images will be completed and uploaded into your gallery within 6 to 8 weeks from your wedding date. Depending on my schedule, they could even be delivered before that, you never know!! ;)




CAN I ADD ON MORE TIME TO MY WEDDING DAY’S TIMELINE IF I NEED TO?


Yes, you’re absolutely welcome to add on additional hours to your wedding day’s timeline! If you make this decision ahead of time, just shoot me an email, and I will make that adjustment for your and update your invoice. If it is something that comes up the day of, any additional hours will be due before your images can be delivered.




WHY DO YOU NEED SO MUCH TIME BEFORE THE CEREMONY FOR PHOTOS?


For almost every wedding timeline, please account for at least 3 to 4 hours of photography coverage before the ceremony to cover documenting your details, you getting ready, the wedding party’s portraits, the venue and ceremony location, and any of your special requests. Though it may seem unnecessary, when you see how your gallery tells the story of your day from start to finish, you’ll be so glad started photography coverage so early!
